What EXACTLY is Alterna Choir?

We believe that singing together is the perfect way to balance out the hustle and bustle of our busy lives. Love belting it out in the shower, the kitchen or the car, and wish you had some company? Live in Sydney’s Inner West and want to find a musical escape for a little me-time?

You’re in the right place. But this isn’t about auditions, performances or adding another high-pressure THING to your week. It’s so much less - and more - than that.

Get together with an eclectic bunch of fellow musical nerds who love the fact we all look, think and sound wonderfully different. You’ll find yourself accidentally singing like a superstar as we work our A Capella way through a diverse mix of music, led by Chief Choir Nerd Dr. Naomi Cooper.
